Well, I got around to processing my second Route 66 image from Kansas. Route 66 only covers something like 13 miles in the state so there's not much to shoot there.
This image is a seven shot HDR file that was processed with FDR Tools (an alternative to Photomatix that can be OK if you want less of an illustrative look). I then processed the image through Adobe Camera raw and spent more of the day adjusting and retouching it to get rid of telephone lines, trees and other "weeds". I'm not 100% finished with the image... the tower needs some work since I swapped it out with a version that was processed with Photomatix and haven't had a chance to really make them match yet.
