Hey Ben,

Nice to see a post from you. Hope all is well. Nice shot! MEGA LIZARD!

Mattias Karlsson

But you're destroying the pleasure of watching your images...

Ben Willmore

Mattias,

I'm not the one doing the destroying.... it's the people who steal my work and use it without giving me credit or compensation.

If you can think of another method for preventing image theft, then I'm all ears.

Nope, sorry I have none. It's one of those Internet things.

But I find it close to someone adding a constant chanting "copyrighted, copyrighted, copyrighted" above a music track. It sort of destroys the whole experience.

But (to repeat myself) I have no solution. There really is none.

As always, thanks for taking the time to share your info & images. Branding your copyright into your image is OK by me. Too bad its something we have to do. Oh well. Not sure how you do it but you can make it so your resulting copied photo turns into an image 1 pixel wide.

Ben Willmore

The single pixel thing isn't that much of a help. Anyone can do a screen shot from any web site and you can even download the original image by option-clicking the file from the Activity palette in Safari. If it's not a visual watermark, then it can easily be circumvented.

Ain't the internet great...

I know that it's proabaly human nature but is sad that folks can't be trusted to treat each other right when nobody's watching. Worse yet is the way those same thieves would cry about somebody doing the same thing to them.

Ben, do you best to beat them and keep this great blog going, even if you do become the 'lazy blogger'.

Ben,
I know you're always looking for new places to shoot. Check out this fellows website. Looks like Indiana might be a target rich envirnment; remindes me of Route 66.

Thanks,

Thanks Bob,

I'll be sure to look into that site in much more detail whenever I'm heading towards Indiana.
