I had a productive meeting at Adobe on Tuesday and spent the entire day talking to Photoshop and Lightroom engineers. I then met up with Uwe Steinmueller from Outback Photo and talked about the current state of Photoshop and photography.
Today, I picked up a Drobo storage unit and looked at a UniCat. The UniCat is a massively built 4x4 RV (better known as an expedition vehicle) that is imported from Germany. I was very impressed with the workmanship of the camper and got a good sense for why they are so expensive.

So Ben, when are you trading in the bus? Imagine the places you'll be able to park with that thing!

I doubt I'll end up in anything like that in the near future since it costs over twice as much as the bus and the version of it that I really like is more like 5x the price of the bus... maybe one day, but it won't be today.

Ben, If you get a chance a quick write up about the drobo would be very much appreciated. I've been looking at those but haven't pulled the trigger.
Thanks,
Larry

Larry,
I'll write about the Drobo once I've had a little more time to play with it. I really like the general concept and design so far.
