I'm currently in Dubai speaking at the Gulf Photo Plus conference. In my brief time off, I visited a mosque and two shopping malls. One of the malls featured a huge indoor ski run complete with full-sized chair lift. There are more active construction projects in this town than I have ever seen. Construction cranes fill the skyline. The people are rather friendly and it's very easy to get around when you only speak English.
