I spent two days at the Flinstones campground in the Black Hills of South Dakota (I could deal with a few fewer kids, so next time I won't be visiting the cartoon campground). After traveling six-plus miles on a trail that I thought was going to be under a mile, I decided to purchase a handheld GPS to see if it will help me keep my barings. That will be one of my birthday presents that I'll give myself once I get to Colorado (my B-day is June 17th).

Hey there!
Welcome back.. and Happy Birthday! though it is a bit too late, but... as I recall you had no wireless card :)
I had no ideea there was a can ham named Spam

Hi David,
I'm guessing that you live outside the U.S. or are a bit younger than I am. SPAM has been around for many decades and makes the meaning of junk e-mail a little more interesting.

Indeed. I am both younger and live outside US. The title of your post was interesting enough for me and made me think how old is junk mail, gosh, they even have a museum!... :)
