It looks like Canon has come up with a fix for the problems I mentioned last week which could cause you to lose images that were in the camera's buffer. Some of the fixes are also focused on fixing an underexposure problem with the EOS 350D. If you have one of the following cameras, then visit Canon's web site to download the update:

and the resulting light is much softer. That helps to prevent harsh
reflections and can improve a large number of images.

It allows you to merge multiple exposures into a single image and then adjust the overall brightness and contrast to obtain an image that contains a wider dynamic range than you could capture in a single shot. As photographers shoot more and more images, they require a more and more hard drives to hold all those images. The cost of an external drive is a combination of the raw drive and the enclosure/power supply.
